Forever Panels
VW Rabbit Convertible / Cabriolet ABS Cards / Panels
Regular price
$161.50
Sold as a complete set of 4; right and left, front and rear. You will receive 4 door panels, instructions, and a sticker packaged in a poly bag.
The Cabriolet / Rabbit Convertible panels have the same front door panels as the 2 door model, but have specific rear panels due to the additional bracing. These will convert your later, sculpted factory rear panels to the early, flat style. You'll use your factory clips to install.
Most VW Rabbit door panels are warped and misshapen due to wet weather attacking the flimsy cardboard that the factory supplied.
These panels are cut from sturdy, weatherproof ABS plastic. The panels feature a textured side and a smooth side that has the options half-cut into the back. These option markings don't go all the way through, so if you do not need them, you will not have unwanted holes in your panel. You can use a flat-head screwdriver and a mallet to pop the sections out.
Here's a video explaining how: https://youtu.be/-chyhHeX7Vs
Marked options on the back include:
-manual window hole
-remote mirror hole
-armrest holes
-factory map pocket holes (you can use Jetta I pockets to get 4x6 speakers!)
-Autobahn (VW Accessory) speaker hole template
-factory 4x6 speaker cutout (not pictured)
-rear ashtray
-rear window winders
The textured surface will usually be covered with whatever fabric or vinyl you choose, but the textured surface does look attractive on it's own - maybe for a lightweight, race-inspired look. Be aware that the mounting clips will show without any vinyl / cloth covering (this won't affect it's use, just something to note).
